My Story
I’ve always written; secretly filled endless notebooks with lines of stories, poems, ideas, thoughts, and memories.
One fine day in 2008, I met the aspiring Canadian painter Zarum. He loved what I wrote about his art even more than I loved his paintings. After he moved back to Canada, he collected all my emails and turned them into a catalog. He published it.
"Wow", I thought, "People actually read what I write?"
It's funny remembering this now.
Filled with courage, I started writing my first personal blog in 2010 and gained 100 followers with only six posts. But my writing lacked purpose. What message did I have for my readers? My search for meaning led me to participate in a historical book about synagogues destroyed during 'Kristallnacht'.
What a fulfilling project for a German-born Jew like me!
By now, I had turned my back on purchasing and was working a full-time marketing job.
This provided plenty of writing opportunities. When I received excellent responses to my email campaigns, I volunteered to revive a ‘dead’ company blog. And voila! With consistent, engaging content, the blog suddenly generated traffic and became an effective marketing tool.
That’s it; I was a marketing writer!
Time to get serious and become a true professional.
I refined my writing skills with courses at the AWAI: Direct-Response Copywriting and B2B Content Writing, studied SEO, editing, and Content Marketing, and started following the most successful copywriters on their blogs and LinkedIn. After working as an in-house marketing writer, I was promoted to editor and content manager.
It was great until I began to miss the actual writing.
That’s when I decided to go back to what I love most and open my own writing business.
I am currently a major contributor to the SimilarWeb Research and Marketing Intelligence Blogs.
Other clients include Webz.io, Anodot, DAZE Marketing, SRPro Marketing, Amplify Eyecare, EyeCarePro, Fiverr, Panaya.
My favorite industries to write for are digital marketing, healthcare and environmental sustainability.
Why’s that?
These fields present unique challenges due to a mixture of strict regulations, sensitive issues, and complicated technologies. But there’s nothing more rewarding than knowing that my writing helps improve peoples’ health and protect the planets’ nature.
Besides, I love challenges.
